The World's Worst Blogger...

...And the Award for the World's Worst Blogger goes to...... ME! I feel absolutely awful for not blogging in over 3 months :( And I know I have absolutely no excuse apart from being EXTREMELY busy with College, and struggling to find time to even indulge in life's little guilty pleasures.

BUT it is a New Year which brings fresh starts,
new goals and New Years Resolutions! I have made a list of my top 5 goals/resolutions for 2011, and this year I am determined to achieve them all :)

1. Limit myself to two indulgences a week. This includes chocolate, crisps, cake and all things deliciously yummy (and full of fat!).

2. Try and loose at least 10KGs by the Summer Holidays... Thus boosting my confidence and being ready to *Rock the World*.

3. Visit the beautiful city of Cape Town in July/August/September. Who has lived in South Africa for 16 years and has only been to Cape Town once? Beautiful weather, people, shops, restaurants and way of life.

4. Enjoy life more by going out, socialising and meeting new people.

5. Blog more often, even if I am exhausted and fall asleep half way through :)

It may be hard to follow and keep my goals/resolutions but I am pretty determined this year to just live life to the fullest, no matter what may come my way :)

***3 Months Over Due***

I feel absolutely awful that it has been 3 months since my last post, even though I have been back in the UK for a month! What can I say apart from life has most definitely been one HELL of a ride over the last couple of months. Where to start...

*SUMMER HOLIDAY*

I spent my summer holiday spread between South Africa, Mozambique and Mauritius. Being back 'home' in South Africa was great to see friends and family, not to mention the shopping and night life. One negative was having my Wisdom Teeth taken out, but hey, even that wasn't so bad!

Mozambique was... interesting. It was my second time there and even though it has beautiful beaches, I still cant seem to see everyone's fascination with the place.

Beautiful

Mauritius was a great relaxing 10 days in Paradise spent mostly on the beach. Nothing beats sleeping in late, suntanning and absolute relaxation.

Stunning sunset

So thats an extremely rough version of what I did over the Summer holiday. Although it was absolutely great, there was one thing that was CONSTANTLY on my mind no matter what...

... *UNIVERSITY*

The plan was that I was going to start my BA in Photography at Kingston University in September, but the reality is far from it. I always had this nagging feeling that photography was more of a hobby to me than a future career, and in the middle of June I realised that going to Kingston would be a HUGE mistake.

So instead I decided to withdraw my acceptance to Kingston to pursue a career as a teacher. Yes, a teacher.

As things turned out, it was not as easy as 1 2 3 to find a place this year at a half decent University for a totally different course. My options were limited and to ensure that I got into a top rated University in 2011, I decided to do some more A Levels in one year. Talk about taking a step back!

And this is where I have landed up...in Oxford! Not too bad I would say :) So thats a very basic overview of my life over the last 3 months and although it may not seem like much, it was one HELL of a ride. Hopefully I'll be finding the time to blog more often from now on.

Let the REAL holiday begin :)

Packing. Definitely not one of my favourite things to be doing when it's a beautiful 30 degrees outside, without a single cloud in sight :)But, it has to be done if I want to spend 8 weeks in SA with clothes. LOL.

Im looking forward to this trip home (to South Africa) as I haven't seen my 6 year old brother since December! Seeing friends and family is going to be great.

I hate packing because no matter how hard I try to remember to pack everything I need to, there's always SOMETHING I forget.

Im not sure when I'll be able to blog next, not that there isn't internet, but because i'll be too busy having an amazing time :)

Inspiration

"This life is what you make it. No matter what, you're going to mess up sometimes, it's a universal truth. But the good part is you get to decide how you're going to mess it up. Girls will be your friends - they'll act like it anyway. But just remember, some come, some go. The ones that stay with you through everything - they're your true best friends. Don't let go of them. Also remember, sisters make the best friends in the world. As for lovers, well, they'll come and go too. And baby, I hate to say it, most of them - actually pretty much all of them are going to break your heart, but you can't give up becuase if you give up, you'll never find your soul mate. You'll never find that half who makes you whole and that goes for everything. Just because you fail once, doesn't mean you're gonna fail at everything. Keep trying, hold on, and always, always, always believe in yourself, because if you don't, then who will, sweetie? So keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life's a beautiful thing and there's so much to smile about."

♡ Forever, I Do ♡

Aren't those the words every little girl dreams of hearing one day? And don't forget the big, magical princess wedding that only you can perfectly envision every detail of?

How about the gorgeous hunk of a man you have fallen completely in love with, about to become your husband? Yes Please :)

On 1st May 2010 my cousin Nick married the girl of his dreams, Rebecca. I wasn't able to attend the wedding as it was in the beautiful Kwazulu Natal Midlands in South Africa, 6000 miles away from London.

A breathtakingly stunning blushing bride.

They had an AMAZING photographer, Drew Mc Gibbon from Cellar Weddings, that captured every moment perfectly.

"I promise to love you forever"

Although I couldn't be there, these photographs have truly captured the joy, happiness and love on the day :)

A girls best friend

Seeming as its the holidays, what more could a girl want than to spend some time shopping? I ADORE Summer. Sigh.

Harem trousers are everywhere, and one of my favourite trends at the moment. They are simple and comfortable and can be easily dressed up with a pair of heels, accessories and a jacket.

These are amazing and just perfect.

Eva Mendez is the face of Calvin Klein Jeans 2010, and looks amazing in the add campaign!

If only we all had a body like that. Sigh.

British Pride

So I know I haven't blogged for a week, but what a busy week i've had! Studying is DEFINITELY not one of my strong points, and is exactly what I have been doing. Can you believe that there is a Citizenship test in the UK? CRAZY I TELL YOU! Luckily, the studying has paid off, because I am now one step closer to becoming British :)

On top of having to study a book on "Life In The UK", yesterday I wrote a 3 and a half hour Aptitude and Careers test. Not knowing 100% what I actually want to study anymore and do with my life is getting really irritating. Hopefully the results will help me make some decisions :)
